Extreme2 for maximum performance in any terrain

Whether on a winding road in the Pyrenees, in rough terrain off-road on your ACT trip or on your Sunday coffee ride, the successor to the popular Extreme shock absorber has exceeded all our expectations in terms of performance and comfort.

When developing the new Extreme2 shock absorber, our main focus was on consistent friction reduction. Due to the resulting efficiency and precision, we are now even better able to master the balancing act between road and extreme off-road use. Just as it should be for real adventure motorcycles. Furthermore, the reduced friction also has an extremely positive effect on wear, so that your shock absorber retains its performance after years of extreme use.

We achieved the extreme friction reduction, among other things, through the special "low friction" piston bands, which significantly improve the sliding behavior of the new 46 mm pistons. This significantly refines the response behavior of the Extreme2 shock absorbers.

Our further developed travel-dependent damping system (PDS) has a newly designed hydraulic stop that works even more precisely and prevents bottoming out even in the toughest off-road use.

When the shock absorber is subjected to long-term heavy use, many chassis have the problem that the damper oil heats up excessively. The resulting change in viscosity drastically reduces the damper performance. If the temperatures rise, wear also increases exponentially, which can lead to irreparable failure of the entire component.

To avoid this, the Extreme2 shock absorber has a new reservoir design with more oil volume and better heat dissipation. This means that we can categorically rule out even the smallest reduction in performance.

The new shock absorber is rounded off with an extended compression setting range of 30 clicks in low and high speed. This means that the damping can be adjusted even more precisely to all requirements.

In addition, the Extreme2 shock absorber has all the features of the Extreme1 shock absorber.

However, to save as much weight as possible, we have deliberately dispensed with hydraulic spring preload on this raised chassis. Of course, you can still adjust your spring preload mechanically.

The basic setup installed here is designed for drivers up to 100 kg plus luggage. Adjustments for much higher loads or other exceptional requirements are possible. We will then adapt the shock absorber to your individual needs.
