We made no compromises on the materials - the entire suit is made out of Gore 3-layer Pro Shell laminate. We think this should be standard in this price category. Concept:

The Compañero Boreal is a 3-layer laminate suit. It is an ideal all-year touring suit. The Compañero Boreal jacket is equipped with a high-quality POLARTEC® fleece inner jacket. This windproof inner jacket unzips from the outer jacket so you can wear it for a stroll around town or on the beach.
The Compañero Boreal suit was developed in close collaboration with renowned motorcycle clothing manufacturer Stadler.

A new feature in this concept is the use of waterproof YKK AQUASEAL® zips on the jacket and trouser vent openings. Intensive testing was carried out to find the optimum zip positioning. On the jacket, this innovative ventilation system comprises two zips on the front and two vent zips on the back. Four zips are also incorporated into the trousers for optimal ventilation. As a result, the suit always provides exceptional body climate control.

The jackets and trousers of different Compañero suit models can be combined as they use the same connecting zips.

1) The test procedure for certification according to EN 1621-1:2012 is currently in progress. The average transmitted force and peak values established for certification according to EN 1621-1:1997 and EN 1621-1:2003 satisfy the criteria for level 2 in EN 1621-1:2012.

The protectors are ergonomically optimised, e.g. asymmetrical shoulder shape protects the shoulder blade and collarbone joint.

Inner jacket features:
High-quality inner jacket made from POLARTEC® fleece. Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece is extremely breathable and four times more wind-resistant than a conventional fleece. Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece is extremely resilient and durable. The outside of the material is water-repellent. The lofted surface inside traps air to keep you feeling warm. Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece maintains 85% of the breathability of a traditional fleece to prevent you from overheating.
