Tank bags made by Touratech are 100% original German quality products from the development
through to the manufacturing. In Karl Heinz Dorn and his company KAHEDO, we have a partner who
not only does justice to our high expectations of quality and functionality, but he also shares our passion
for riding motorbikes. Together with his team in Bisingen, located at the foot of Hohenzollern Castle, he
has been developing innovative and
high-quality products using leather and textiles since 1985.
Quality begins with the material. The Touratech tank bags are made of Teflon-coated Cordura, making
them waterproof and resistant to dirt.
The Cordura used for the bags is manufactured in a special
process from polyamide with an Invista thread (hence its high resistance to abrasion), coated with Teflon
from DuPont, and is tested for harmful substances in line with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (test number
501-0459). The material is produced and certified in Germany. Without this certification, we would not
get any Cordura labels, which we attach to every piece of manufactured luggage. The brand name for
our material is 1100Dtex Cordura and is protected by law. The Teflon coating prevents the material
from fading.
The tank bags are fitted in part with waterproof zips. Optionally available inside pockets
made of polyester fabric coated with Teflon, with welded seams and waterproof zips or a reliable rollup
closure, ensure that the bags are 100% watertight. Matching rain covers are also available for ideal
protection.
The reinforced side walls on the inside and a riveted plastic base insert prevent the bags from buckling and guarantee form stability even when they are only partly packed. The Streetline models are attached at the front with two sturdy, plastic turn-lock fasteners, allowing the tank bag to be installed and removed in a matter of seconds. The Adventure models feature a double hook fastening for maximum stability, even under the toughest conditions, paired with lightning-fast

the back allow the bag to be fitted tightly. The front
and rear mounting pads can always remain affixed
to the motorbike. Some of the tank bags have a
foam base plate which matches the contour of the
motorbike, while others have a flexible underside
that moulds itself to fit various tanks. The attractive
look underlines KAHEDO's company slogan:

regarding space and features to accommodate the
rider's preferences, budget and needs, from the
"Daytrip" for day-long rides and the fully-featured
"High", through to the VP 45, a perfect companion

They also include a map pocket for maps up to A4 size. Many models additionally feature a removable mini-bag with a Velcro fastening for credit cards or small change, a document pocket in the cover, and extra side pockets with an integral pocket for ballpoint pens or a flashlight. The special arrangement of the side outer pockets prevents accidentally indicating or sounding the horn when turning the handlebar in tight bends or while manoeuvring.
Other clever details are an ergonomic handle, a carry strap for using the bag as a rucksack or
shoulder bag, 3M reflective panels, reflective piping and elastic drawstrings for greater security.
Numerous models have an
all-round zip for easily increasing the capacity. The extensive range of
accessories includes a capacity enlargement, a drinking system extension (055-1300) and a waterresistant
photo pocket (055-1192).
The "Black Edition" tank bag not only perfectly fits the shape of the tank, it also matches the overall look
and packs an array of clever detail solutions: an aerodynamically optimised map pocket, document compartment
with separate credit card pouch in the top cover, waterproof zips and two practical side pockets.
Reflective panels lend the finishing touch to this black tank bag, which is made from completely waterproof
PVC-coated polyester fabric and Teflon-coated CORDURA, therefore water-repellent. With the comfortable
carrying handle, the tank bag also looks good without a motorbike.

This innovative concept is the answer to questions like "Where and how do I safely store my camera gear
on my bike?" The padded inner bag has several dividers for the customized organization of lenses, camera
bodies and flashes. It is roomy, easily accessible and quickly removed. The zipper and the inner-bag material
are dustproof and
water-protected.
This tank bag offers various storing possibilities: Two outside pockets with special compartments for memory
cards and an additional outside front pocket for the included transparent rain cover; a tiny bag the size
of a credit card inside of the top flap; another sewn-in bag for larger items; and several rubber bands for
holding pens. The tank bag has
a carrying handle and is fixed to the base plate with Velcro, which keeps it

It was specially developed for universal installation on almost every motorcycleand is designed for many, varied
applications. Because it's so easy to install and remove, it's the ideal alternative to mounting a rigid and inflexible
pannier case system - even for trips of moderate distances. The multifunctional base unit consists of a main rear

Without a shadow of doubt, the Dakar is the toughest rally in the world. Touratech has created its own collection featuring officially licensed DakarTM designs to celebrate the history of this legendary rally. Touratech has various links with Dakar that go back to the early 1990s, when we first got involved with the rally. Jutta Kleinschmitt and Michael Griep bolted an IMO 100R into their cockpit as they set off for Africa in 1994.
Twice Touratech actually lined up for the start – in 2001 with French rider Didier Py on a Touratech F 650 Rallye, and in 2002 with their own full team of five riders. Touratech caused a sensation by becoming the first team in the history of this extreme
desert rally to get two motorcycles with injection engines to the finish line at Lake Retba. And not to forget Charley Boorman's "Race to Dakar" in 2006 – the motorbikes for this project were built up by Touratech at Niedereschach.
Even though Touratech no longer send their own team to the race, they are still represented at the Dakar. Touratech e.g. supplies the French company ERTF with "made in Niedereschach" equipment for the competition bikes and quads,
such as IriTrack holders and special handlebar mounts for Dakar GPS devices.
All good enough reasons to produce a special Touraatech DakarTM collection in close partnership with the organiser, ASO. Elaborately designed
